About the walk
The entire route (once open) will be 19km
The Ōmokoroa to Tauranga Cycleway and Walkway is made up of both new and existing off-road shared paths and local road connections. Once fully open, it will provide a link between the growing township of Ōmokoroa and Tauranga City.
This scenic route provides fantastic views of the Tauranga Harbour, around estuaries, through wetlands, and across bridges and boardwalks. Make sure you keep an eye out to spot local bird life, especially in the wetland areas.
This is a shared trail so walkers and cyclists must take care and respect other users.
Please note: The connection at the Wairoa Bridge to Tauranga City is not yet open. The remainder of the trail is open.
