Proposal to Declare Land as a Recreation Reserve

Pursuant to Section 14(1) of the Reserves Act 1977, the Western Bay of Plenty District Council may by resolution declare any land vested in it to be a reserve within the meaning of the Reserves Act 1977 subject to any conditions specified in the resolution. No such resolution shall be passed before the expiration of 1 month after notice of intention to pass the same and calling for objections thereto in writing and until it has considered all such objections received within this period.

The proposed resolution sought is for the following land vested in Council to be declared as a Recreation Reserve:

• Lot 3 – 9 DP 471470 and Allotment 185, comprising an area of 2.475 hectares, more or less, and held in Record of Title 794400 (the Land).

The resolution sought is necessary so that the Land (which currently has no purpose under the Reserves Act 1977) can be held with land (Lot 2 Deposited Plan 622066) that will have a recreation purpose.
