Proposal To Close Jellicoe Street, Te Puke To Vehicular Traffic
Pursuant to Section 342, Schedule Ten, 11(e) of the Local Government Act 1974 and the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the Western Bay of Plenty District Council, for the purpose of Sikh Parade proposes to close the following road(s) to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.
Road proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic:
• Stop/stop on No. 3 Road as parade moves from the temple to Atuaroa Road (and return)
• Full closure of Atuaroa Road as parade moves from No. 3 Road to Jellicoe Street (and return)
• Full Closure of Jellicoe Street from Boucher Avenue to Atuaroa Avenue from 11:00am – 2:00pm
Period of proposed closure: 26 September 2026 10:00am to 3:00pm
(Postponement Date Sunday 27th September 2026 10:00am to 3:00pm)
During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic will only be permitted to use the roads at the direction of race officials.
