Animals (Excluding Dogs) Bylaw
Western Bay of Plenty District Council is reviewing its Animals (Excluding Dogs) Bylaw and is seeking community feedback.
The bylaw helps manage the keeping of animals such as poultry, pigs and livestock across the district, reducing nuisance and protecting public health and wellbeing. Council is proposing to continue the bylaw as it is, including minor updates made in 2025.
Residents are invited to share their views on whether the bylaw should remain unchanged, be amended, or be removed. Feedback received will help inform Council's final decision.
