Droning Waihi Beach

This survey is the 6 monthly survey of the seawall and the beach nourishment to the low tide mark.

When:

• During low tide times the week of 15th June to 19th June - this work is entirely weather dependent
• If we can't get it done then due to weather, we'll automatically reschedule this to the next day during low tide (plus one hour).

What to expect:

• The drone will be < 10kg and flying at 120m above-ground in a grid pattern
• You may notice a small ‘buzz’ as a drone passes nearby
• Our contractors will be as careful as possible to avoid flying over people on the beach, as well as having a parachute fitted for safety reasons.
