Young Road Closure Update
Roading
Please be advised that the Young Road closure has been extended to the end of October, 2026.
Adjacent to the Rangiuru Business Park, a 650m section of road will be upgraded to meet the needs, and future proof the developing area.
During this project we will be completing:
- Stormwater drainage upgrade
- Water main installation
- Pavement construction
- Kerb and footpath construction
- Street lighting installation
Timeline
Work commenced in early February 2026 and is expected to be completed by the end of October 2026. A lot of this work is weather dependent, so time frames are subject to change.
Traffic Management
During this time, traffic management will be in place to ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and workers.
There will be a full 24/7 road closure in operation for the duration of the project. This will be between Seeka Transpack and the driveway of 148 Young Road. Access to either side of the work zone will be via Pah Road to the west and Maketu Road to the east.
Please allow extra time for travel and follow all signage and directions from our traffic controllers.
