Work is currently being carried out to repair a section of Upper Ohauiti Road (opposite 1167), which was reduced to one lane, after a slip occurred in a severe weather event in January 2023.
We expect this work to take three weeks to complete, weather permitting.
During this time, a road closure will be in place between numbers 1163 and 1167 Upper Ohauiti Road, on week days from 7am to 6pm. Outside these hours, and on weekends, the road will be open under a priority give-way.
A detour will be in place along Oropi Road, while the work is being completed.
The school bus route will not be affected, however there may be some delays.
We’re looking forward to getting this section of road back to full use and will keep you updated as work progresses.
