Proposal to Close Road(s) To Vehicular Traffic

Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, Tenth Schedule, notice is hereby given that the Western Bay of Plenty District Council, for the purpose of Motorsport BOP – 2024 Rally BOP proposes to close the following road(s) to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.
Road to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic:
- From the junction of Taumata/Belk Rd South through to gate 1095 at the southern end of Taumata Rd. (5:20am to 8:30am).
- Mangatoi Road from the junction of Mangatoi/SH36 through to gate 1502 No 2 Road, including junctions No 2/Mangatoi and No 2/Mountain Rd. (5:40am to 9:00am).
- Mangatoi Road from the junction of Mangatoi/SH36 through to gate 1502 No 2 Road, including junctions No 2/Mangatoi and No 2/Mountain Rd. (2:00pm to 5:30pm).
- MacDougall Quarry Rd from Gate 43, through to junction with Otamarakau Valley Rd, then Otamarakau Valley Road through to junction with Campbell Rd, Campbell Rd through to junction with Pikowai Rd. (6:40am to 1:30pm)
- McIvor Rd from 200m past junction with Braemar Rd through to junction with Matahi Rd. Matahi Rd from junction with Braemar Rd, through to the junction with Rendall Rd. Rendall Rd from the junction with Matahi Rd, through to the junction with Manawahe Rd. Manawahe Rd from the junction with Rendall Rd, through to the junction with Pongakawa Valley Rd, including junction with Hamilton Road. (8:20am to 3:40pm)
- Pongakawa Valley Rd from 100m past gate 395 to the junction with Rotoehu Rd . Rotoehe Rd from the junction with Pongakawa Valley Rd through to Gate 1412. (9:00am to 4:00pm)
- Herepuru Rd from 400m prior to Gate 290A&B, through to Gate 1096A. (10:20am to 2:00pm)
- Taumata Rd from the junction of Taumata/Belk Rd South through to gate 1095 at the southern end of Taumata Rd. (2:50pm to 6:15pm)
Period of closure
Saturday 5th October 2024, varying times (refer above)
It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.
