Vegetation Management - Agrichemical Spraying

Council manages vegetation on Council owned and administrated land using a number of vegetation management tools. In some instances, this includes agrichemicals. Council's preference is for the use of non-chemical methods of vegetation control where practical. However, in some instances the use of agrichemicals is necessary. All chemicals used shall be approved for use under the Growsafe Specification and New Zealand Standard NZS8409 - Code of Practice for the Management of Agrichemicals.

We publicly notify all planned agrichemical applications across the Western Bay of Plenty District.

Please look out for specific spray details on the temporary signage erected during spraying when visiting your local reserves.
