Wander Walks kick off at Te Puna Quarry Park
Western Bay of Plenty District Council’s Wander Walks series kicks off at Te Puna Quarry Park on Saturday 7 November, inviting local dog owners to explore the District’s scenic walking spots with their four-legged friends.
The free, guided walks give pooches and their people the chance to discover dog-friendly walking areas across the Western Bay, meet other dog lovers and help their furry friends build confidence.
Walkers are encouraged to arrive at 9.30am to meet their fellow ‘Wander Woofers’ before setting off at 10am. For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, dogs must remain on leads, and owners are asked to be considerate of other walkers and dogs along the way.
More walks will be held over the coming months, with the series wrapping up with Doggy Day Out in March. Dog owners can find upcoming walk dates at facebook.com/westernbaycouncil/events
Covering nearly 32 hectares, Te Puna Quarry Park is home to scenic walking tracks, native gardens, sculptures, and panoramic views of the Western Bay of Plenty.
Come along and explore the beautiful tracks and add a new favourite walking spot to the vault.
