New General Manager Infrastructure appointed
Western Bay of Plenty District Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Brad Singh to the role of General Manager Infrastructure Group.
Brad brings with him nearly two decades of experience in asset management and infrastructure leadership, including the past five years in senior roles at Wellington City Council. He most recently served as Manager of Transport and Infrastructure, where he led key programmes to support the city’s fast-growing population.
Brad will join the Council’s Executive Leadership Team from 1 September 2025.
His appointment comes at a time of significant momentum in Western Bay’s infrastructure space. Council is delivering a record capital works programme and building strong foundations for the future.
Projects such as Panepane Wharf and the Dave Hume Pool upgrade are already underway, and the Local Water Done Well programme will be a key focus in the months ahead.
Council’s Acting Chief Executive Miriam Taris says Brad’s experience and values make him a great fit for the role and for the district.
“Brad has a strong track record of delivering infrastructure with people at the centre. His depth of experience, strategic approach, and passion for community-focused outcomes make him well placed to support our district’s growth and resilience.”
After several years in Wellington, the move to the Bay of Plenty fulfils a long-held dream for Brad.
“I’ve always felt a hankering for the Bay. My family loves the beach and everything about the region has always been attractive to us.”
It's also an exciting time to be joining Western Bay, says Brad.
“I'm looking forward to helping deliver this next phase of infrastructure for the district - with and for our communities."
