He Iwi Kotahi Tauranga Moana Charitable Trust is delighted to announce the Tauranga Moana Waitangi Day Festival 2026, happening on Friday 6th February, from 10am to 3pm at the Historic Village, 17th Ave, Tauranga South. This free, family-friendly festival is a long-standing tradition in Tauranga and is a day to honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi, celebrate cultural diversity, and bring the community together in unity.
Over the years, the festival has become a highlight of Waitangi Day in Tauranga Moana, drawing families from across the Bay of Plenty. Last year’s event doubled in size compared to previous years with more music, community activities, and the new Waitangi Day Art Competition. The 2026 event will grow once again with new additions: the Education Zone, Kōrero Corner, Spinning Prize Wheel & Giant Photo Frame.
