Payment of fines
You have 28 days to pay your Infringement Notice. After this time, a reminder letter will be sent to the defendant and if the Infringement Notice remains unpaid after a further 28 days, it will be passed to the Court for collection. At this stage an additional cost of $30 is added to the original Infringement Notice.

- Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act infringement
- Litter infringements
- Resource Management Act infringements
- Dog infringement waiver request
Freedom Camping Infringements are not able to be made via this page. In conjunction with your summary of rights, manual payments can be made via internet banking to Western Bay of Plenty District Council's bank account (01-0434-0180600-00). Please include your Freedom Camping Infringement Notice Number and Surname in the reference fields when making payment. Cash Payment can be made at Council's area offices during business hours. Extended payment options
Payment of the Infringement Notice is requested by the due date, to avoid Court action.
Where cases of financial hardship are established by you, provision may be made, after receiving your written request, to seek an extended payment option.
Where no written request is made for such option, within two months from the date of issue of the Infringement Notice, the matter will proceed to Court.
Where a request is received within the prescribed two months, an extension of time may be given for payment, but this will not exceed a total of 6 months from the date of issue of Infringement Notice.

It's important to note there is a convenience fee of 1.22% per transaction for the service.
To make things easier, please have your Infringement notice number handy and be certain to enter your email address correctly.
Payments made after 10.30pm New Zealand time will be processed the following business day, so please allow plenty of time for processing your payment. If you leave things too late then your payment could be processed after the due date which may result in a late payment penalty.
Once the transaction is completed you will be given a reference number and a confirmation notification will be sent to your email for your records. Please note a receipt will not be provided.

You can pay for an outstanding Infringement Notice using the internet direct from your bank account to Council.
Please include the Infringement Notice number as the reference. This will be similar to "C1234". This will ensure your payment is credited against the correct Infringement Notice.

Payment can be made in-person by paying by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card at Council's customer services counter at our Barkes Corner head office or at any of Council's libraries and service centres at Katikati, Omokoroa, Te Puke or Waihi Beach. It's important to note that our bank charges a convenience fee of 1.22% per transaction for credit card transactions.
