Duty Planner Service
The duty planner service is offered to our customers to assist your understanding of the planning rules contained within the District Plan and to guide you through the process when looking to undertake specific activities on your land.
If your question is not answered below, our duty planner can be contacted on duty.planner@westernbay.govt.nz
Response times for any duty planner enquiry is 2-3 business days. You can also pop into Council's head office at Barkes Corner between the hours of 8am to 1pm on business days to talk with the duty planner.
Please note:
These FAQ's only address some rules and requirements. Other rules and exceptions may also be relevant. A duty planner can provide you with a general indication as to whether it is likely that you will require a resource consent for the activity you wish to undertake or give general advice as to the resource consent process. The service will not provide you with an assessment of your proposed activity in detail or help you prepare an application.
