Events affecting roads, streets or footpaths

If you're planning an event which will affect a Council owned road corridor, you will need to complete an event application form for Council approval.  This is to ensure that a traffic management plan (TMP) is included in your event planning to deal with issues such as;

  • Car parking
  • Disruption to normal traffic flow
  • Safe access and egress (exit) to event sites for emergency services
  • Other events or works that might be happening at the same time which may affect traffic
  • Speed zone
  • Affect of a road closure i.e. detour routes

Further details relating to events, including the application form, can be found here.
