If you are looking for exercise or recreation, the Dave Hume Swimming Pools in Katikati and Te Puke Memorial Swimming Pool can cater for you.

Dave Hume Swimming Pool

​The Dave Hume Pool caters for general public swimming, swimming by various local schools, swimming lessons and coaching by independent coaches, the Katikati Amateur Swim Club and Katikati Masters.

Te Puke Memorial Pool ​

The Te Puke Memorial pool is located at Te Puke High School on the corner of Tui Street and Beatty Avenue, accessible through the pool entrance on Tui Street. 

The pool swim season is from late spring to early Autumn, coinciding with the beginning of school term 4 and the end of school term 1 (Easter) of any given year.  The pool is not open over the cooler months.

This facility includes:

  • a main pool (33 metres long and 7 swim lanes)
  • a dive pool (4 metres deep); and
  • a learner/toddlers pool.

The pool is under the management of Council and bookings for special events can be made directly with pool manager Liz Milsom on 027 316 0139.
