Bell Road closed to non-residents while culvert replaced

A temporary culvert is being installed at the moment to maintain drainage flows and the road is likely to remain as single lane until a more long-term solution box culvert is installed. Construction for this is planned for late September.

Council's contractor is working with the power, communication and water main service providors to relocate their services prior to then. ​

The end of Bell Road, towards the Kaituna River from Parton Road, will remain closed to non-residential traffic while contractors undertake the work and residents will be kept informed on the progress.

Western Bay of Plenty District Council has closed Bell Road in Papamoa to non-residential traffic while contractors replace a broken culvert.

The end of Bell Road, towards the Kaituna River from Parton Road, will be open to residents only while Council contractors undertake work to replace the culvert.

At this stage Council is unsure how long the road will remain closed and will advise residents when a timeframe for replacement is established.​​
