Annual Plan 2019/20 and Long Term Plan Amendment Consultation Document

Council adopted its Annual Plan 2019/20 and Long Term Plan Amendment Consultation Document on 7 March 2019 and will be holding District-wide drop in sessions from 23 March to 13 April 2019 to gain people's views on the main issues.  Check out details on these drop in sessions below.

Alongside the Annual Plan, Council is consulting on a significant proposal to introduce a user pays Council-contracted kerbside recycling and rubbish collection service, intended to commence in 2021.

The proposal will apply to approximately 80% of the District and includes a pay-per-pick-up scheme for rubbish. It's also looking at a glass, recycling and food waste collection service that will be funded through a targeted rate, charged only to those households where the service is available.
