Pio Shores/Bowentown Community Stormwater Improvements
Purpose
Council is working with the Pio Shores and Bowentown community to tackle stormwater flooding issues. The stormwater system uses both gravity and pump systems. The pump system consists of five pump stations which have seen a number of improvements over the years. Three of these pump stations discharge to the sand dune basin area. A project to upgrade two pump stations is underway after recent studies identified an opportunity to increase stormwater discharge to the dunes.
