Changes to Council Meeting Notices

Following changes introduced through the Regulatory Systems (Internal Affairs) Amendment Act 2026, Western Bay of Plenty District Council will no longer publish notices of Council, Committee and Community Board meetings in local newspapers.

Meeting information has been available on Council's website for some time and will continue to be the place to find meeting dates, agendas, minutes and information about attending meetings.

Council and Committee meetings will continue to be livestreamed on Council's YouTube channel, unless otherwise stated, and meetings will remain open to the public.

As more people choose to access information online, this change provides a simple and convenient way to stay up to date with Council meetings and decisions.
