Pongakawa Bush Road closed

Following the wet weather over the weekend, part of Pongakawa Bush Road has been damaged and is now only open to cars and light vehicles, who are advised to drive very carefully.

This includes the section of road starting from 10km up Pongakawa Bush Road (from approximately RP 9.8 mark) to Pugh Road. Detours are in place for heavier vehciles.

Road rebuilding will begin this week, but the closure is likely to be necessary for at least two weeks.
