The Uretara Stream bank is about to get another layer of protection from erosion.
Some large rocks (rip rap), will be placed along the bank just downstream from the new Yeoman bridge, extending the existing rock protection.
The work is planned for 31 January, and will take a week to complete depending on the tides.
Yeoman pathway will stay open while this work takes place with some restrictions put in place as needed. For everyone's safety, please follow any instructions from the contractor while walking or riding past the work site.
This work is being done in advance of the shared pathway project which is currently out for tender.
