Western Bay of Plenty District Council has boosted its annual Community Matching Fund by $40,000 this year to $140,000 – and applications open later this month.
Anzac Day in Te Puna marks 2019 as a special year for the local community and will be celebrated with a hikoi and a commemorative rugby match at the Te Puna Rugby Club.
Several cases of parvovirus have occurred in puppies in the Western Bay in recent days and Council’s animal services officers are urging people to ensure their dogs are vaccinated against the disease.
The Local Government Commission today announced its decision that largely existing representation arrangements for Western Bay of Plenty District Council will apply for the 2019 local authority elections.
