Council has notified its PROPOSED Plan (Decisions version) on 30 January 2010 and there may be more restrictive rules under the Proposed Plan (Decisions version) that will affect your proposal.  However, due to the ongoing plan review process, a number of rules may be subject to further changes.

Given the amount of horticulture in the Western Bay of Plenty District, Council has developed rules and provisions within the District Plan for frost protection fans.  These provisions took effect on 18 October 2003.  Current rules apply to both fixed and portable frost protection fans and, in most cases, an application for resource consent will be required prior to establishing the fan.
