This District Plan information contained on this webpage relates to the provisions of the OPERATIVE District Plan.

Council has notified its PROPOSED Plan (Decisions version) on 30 January 2010 and there may be more restrictive rules under the Proposed Plan (Decisions version) that will affect your proposal. However, due to the ongoing plan review process, a number of rules may be subject to further changes.

You are advised to discuss any proposal with the Duty Planner.

When proposals which may have an impact on the environment come before Council, we have a legal obligation to ensure that ALL parties who may be affected are involved in the process.

That is why, from time to time, it is necessary for the Council to hold public hearings on specific proposals.

Resource Management (Simplifying and Streamlining) Amendment Act 2009

The Resource Management (Simplifying and Streamlining) Amendment Bill 2009 passed its second and third readings on the 8th September 2009 and will commence on 1 October 2009. Background information and assitance to those who may be affected by the Act can be found here.
