This report has been prepared as a preliminary feasibility document to aid discussion between potential partners in the proposed Te Puke High School Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre. 

Sub-regional Social Infrastructure Planning Framework
The social infrastructure planning framework has been developed in response to a Smart Growth action to ensure social infrastructure ie schools, medical centres, playgrounds, community facilities etc are provided  in the right place, at the right time.

Stocktake of social infrastructure in the Western Bay of Plenty District 2009
This resource provides a description of all the different providers of social infrastructure and provides maps of the location of social infrastructure across the District.  This includes Council owned social infrastructure ie health services, schools, sport and recreation, and Maori social infrastructure ie marae and social services.

WBOPDC Social Infrastructure Planning Guidelines 
The guidelines identify the roles various Departments have in relation to social infrastructure planning and a ‘how to’ guide to demonstrate how to undertake social infrastructure planning.

Settling In Tauranga City and the Western Bay of Plenty District Migrant Community Social Services Report April 2010
The main purpose of the Settling In report is to highlight key issues for migrants who have settled in Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty District and to identify needs, gaps in services and suggestions for further action. The information used to shape this report came from a range of sources, including: relevant research and reports; census data; discussion and interviews with interested parties; and most importantly 31 focus groups with local migrants (involving over 250 participants from around 40 different homelands). Executive summary document available here

Walking and Cycling Strategy
This document is the first Walking & Cycling Strategy prepared for the Western Bay of Plenty District and was adopted at the Council's Policy & Planning Committee on 10 September 2009.

Events Strategy 2009-2014
The Western Bay of Plenty Sub-Regional Events Strategy has been developed jointly by Tauranga City Council and Western Bay of Plenty District Council.

Public Art Policy and Guidelines
The Western Bay of Plenty District Public Art Policy was adopted by Counclis Policy & Planning Committee in January 2010 following on from the adoption of the Public Art Guidelines in November 2009.

Reserve Management Plans
There are management plans for 222 reserves across the District, which include plans covering each urban community.  Apart from being a statutory requirement under the Reserves Act, a management plan provides a one-stop reference point that includes a reserves classification and legal status, the area it covers, infrastructure and funding for capital projects Councils wants to undertake.

Local Governance Statement
Council is required, under the Local Government Act, to prepare and make publicly available a document outlining its functions, responsibilities and activities.  This document is officially known as the Local Governance Statement.

Assessment of Water and Sanitary Services June 2009 
The assessment of water and sanitary services includes an overview of available services and a forecast of future demand, options available to meet future demand, and an overview of Council’s role in meeting the forecast demand.
