Our aim is to gather as much information as possible on buildings and structures of significant historical importance across the Western Bay (excluding Tauranga City).Whether you have ideas about protecting a large building on a main street or a historical structure down the back of the farm we’re keen to hear from you.With your input we gain work toward reviewing Council’s District Plan and develop policies to protect the Western Bay’s unique built heritage.

Find out more on what's happening with the Bay of Plenty's largest roading project, the Tauranga Eastern Link. The $100m+ initiative is expected to get underway in 2011 and will run from Te Maunga junction in Tauranga City to the junction of State Highway 2 and State Highway 33 near Paengaroa in the Western Bay District.
