Membership is free to all permanent residents and ratepayers in the Western Bay of Plenty District. Membership is also free to our Infoshare partners in Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane Districts and Reciprocal Membership is available to residents in the Hauraki District. Holiday membership is available for visitors to the area.
Joining the library
To speed the process you can print off a copy of the membership form and have it ready before you arrive at the library if you wish.
To join the library you will need to bring with you:
- Either your passport or two forms of ID, preferably one with photo-ID. One must confirm your current residential address. This can be a letter from your bank, power or telephone company or school.
- The name and address of a contact person – not living at your address (we may need to find you if you change address and forget to tell us).
- If you are under the age of 15 you will need a parent or caregiver to come in with you and complete the application.
- $2 Administration Fee for the library card.
